| “Abadía de Acón is a familiar and small winery situated in Ribera del Duero. We care our 35 ha of vineyards with the highest precision following a natural way of elaboration, without using any herbicides, antibotriticus, nor any chemical products. We keep a low yield in the vineyards (3.500 to 4.000 Kgs/ha) to ensure a better quality of grapes. That limited production guarantees us a better ripening and a better concentration of all the qualities of the grape. The harvest is made manually in small cases of 18 Kgs, and goes into the winery in a sorting table. We do not have a hopper at the entrance of the winery, nor pumping motors or tubing... We use one of the softest way of winemaking: the gravity, which involves a gentle treatment to the grapes and wines.The design of the winery is one of the most modern of Ribera del Duero and has been created by the son of the owner, who is architect.” |
